The book will be a practical guide to support inclusion within arts and culture. I was approached by NASEN (The National Association for Special Education Needs) to write the book and have recently signed a contract with the publishing house Routledge.
There is a back story to this...As well as being a practicing artist I also teach young people with learning difficulties and coordinate a festival; The West London Inclusive Arts Festival. During this time I wrote a manifesto to promote cultural inclusion for young people with special educational needs.
The manifesto has a wide range of signatories ranging from politicians, cultural organisations to practicing artists and individuals. You can read it here and hopefully sign it too.
